About Kensaku

Biography

I’m a half-French, half-Japanese casting director based in Tokyo, with over 12 years of experience in commercials, film, television, and digital content. I bring a diverse perspective and deep industry insight to every project.

Trilingual in Japanese, French, and English, I draw on my multicultural background to navigate global creative landscapes with cultural sensitivity and nuance which is a key asset when working across international productions and culturally specific campaigns.

I’ve had the privilege of casting for award-winning campaigns with leading Japanese brands and global, including Nike, Mizuno, Sony, Suntory, Dell, and Nissan. My work spans a wide range of styles and formats, from high-impact advertising to narrative film.

Currently, I lead celebrity casting at Condé Nast Japan, working on editorial and branded projects for VOGUE, GQ, and WIRED. This role has deepened my expertise in fashion, luxury, and lifestyle content.

Whether it’s a fast-paced commercial or a culturally nuanced film, I collaborate closely with directors and producers to bring their vision to life through authentic, emotionally grounded casting.
